How is Bracket Height Determined?
DIBS AI starts with bracket heights but then adjusts based on movement to anterior leveling, posterior alignment, cusp offsets, and occlusion.
One other important difference: We measure bracket heights based on the torque of the final tooth position…NOT based on pretreatment!
This means DIBS AI bracket placement is more accurate. Which is exactly what you are paying for!
What is included in an Initial Case Setup?
Initial Setup’s include a Pretreatment Model and a Predicted Outcome Model is side-by-side mode with your preferred Bracket Prescription applied.
The Predicted Outcome will show:
- Teeth are positioned according to the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO).
- Anteriors Leveled
- Posteriors Aligned
- Bicuspids offset
- In a Class 1 Bite (or close to it)
The doctor can make adjustments to occlusion, check positioning, and make any other changes they feel are necessary.
When am I charged for a DIBS AI case?
DIBS AI charges upon Submission. You can cancel 1 case per 30-day period for free…because mistakes happen. This is true even if our staff has already worked on it!

WHAT DOES THE INITIAL SETUP LOOK LIKE WHEN A DOCTOR RECEIVES IT FOR APPROVAL?
After submitting cases, we run the AI and human lab tech’s check to make any final adjustments. A doctor receives an “Initial Setup” that has brackets placed on both a pretreatment as well as predicted outcome model, and the Predicted Outcome has the Anteriors Leveled, Posterior Marginal Ridges Aligned, and in a Class 1 bite (or as close as possible).
